Custom picture framing

Frame it like it matters.

Because it does. Fenner Framework is a small, owner-run framing shop. Bring in the print, the photo, the diploma, the jersey, the thing your kid drew — and we'll design and build a frame by hand that fits the piece, protects it for decades, and looks right on your wall.

  • Archival, acid-free materials
  • Free design consultation
  • Built by hand, in-house
  • Owner works on every piece

Artists, photographers & designers: trade pricing, consistent results across a series, and turnaround you can plan a show around. Ask about volume work.

Framing

What we frame

If it's flat, or nearly flat, or something you love that isn't flat at all — we can frame it.

Art, prints & photos

Originals, limited editions, posters, and family photos — matted and framed with UV-filtering glass so the color you love stays that color.

Diplomas & certificates

Conservation-grade mounting that never glues the document down, with mat colors that nod to the school without shouting about it.

Jerseys & memorabilia

Signed jerseys, medals, ticket stubs, baseballs, concert posters — pinned and mounted reversibly in deep shadow boxes, nothing glued or cut.

Shadow boxes & keepsakes

Wedding invitations, baby shoes, military flags and medals, heirloom tools, travel finds — composed and built to be looked at for a long time.

Canvas stretching & floaters

Gallery-wrapped stretching on kiln-dried bars, plus float frames that give a canvas a finished edge without covering any of the painting.

Repairs, reframing & mirrors

Loose corners, broken glass, faded mats, grandma's frame that deserves new art — plus custom-framed mirrors in any size.

How it works

From "I should get this framed" to "it's on the wall"

Most projects take two to three weeks. Rush work is possible — just ask.

  1. 1

    Bring it in

Drop by or book a time and bring the piece. Tell us where it's going to hang and what you have in mind (or don't — that's what we're for).

  2. 2

    Design it together

We lay out moulding, mat, and glazing options against your piece and price each one on the spot. No surprises, no pressure.

  3. 3

    We build it

Cut, joined, matted, mounted, and sealed in our shop with archival materials. Every corner checked before it leaves the bench.

  4. 4

    Pick up & hang

It comes wired, bumpered, and ready to hang. We'll show you how to place it — or come hang it for you.

Why Fenner Framework

Good framing disappears. You just see the piece.

Built to last, not to fade

Acid-free mats and backing, reversible hinging, and UV-filtering glass or acrylic as the default — the materials that keep paper from yellowing and photos from fading.

A real person, every step

The owner designs your frame with you, cuts it, and hands it back to you. Questions get answered by the person holding the piece.

Honest about options

You'll get the great-value option and the museum option, with the actual difference explained. Plenty of pieces are perfect in a simple frame.

About

Owner-operated. Hand-built. A little obsessive about corners.

Fenner Framework is run by Holden Fenner, a woodworker who got into framing the way most people do — with a stack of things that deserved better than a poster frame from the big-box store.

Every piece is designed, cut, joined, and fitted in our own shop. We keep the operation small on purpose so the work stays careful and the turnaround stays honest.
